SCOOTERS
IMPORTANT NOTE ON MODEL SELECTION
The design of most modern scooters involves the positioning of the complete motor-drive assembly in the rear wheel - as opposed to balanced in the middle of the machine as with all regular motorcycles. This affects their use with these racks because it puts a large proportion of the weight away from the center of the rack, and out towards the loading side. With the heavier scooters it also makes it difficult to load, and for the rack to flop naturally back into its horizontal postion.
With the light-weight scooters this problem can be addressed by the selection of a larger rack. For instance for all scooters weighing up to 250-275 lbs the 410ACR (400 lb capacity) should always be selected (not the210ACR) for all scooters weighing more than 300lb - the larger 610ACR (600 lb capacity) should be selected. This has two advantages - not only is the rack larger and stronger, but is also longer, which moves the load weight towards the centre of the rack.

DOUBLE RACKS
720 Connection Bar - for double motorcycle racks
This is the brand-new solution for two motorcycles (or two scooters) providing more flexibility in purchasing and use. The model 720 is a special bar that will convert a single mororcycle rack to a double rack for two motorcycles.
Use of this connection bar allows three combinations for different weight loads
1. 210ACR to another 210ACR. This would be for lighter loads like two smaller scooters.
2. 410ACR to a 210ACR. This would be for one heavier motorcycle plus one lighter motorcycle (less than 200 lb)
3. 410ACR to another 410ACR. This would be for two heavier motor cycles - both under 400 lbs each - total weight up to 700 lb. This is the most ordered combination.
The reason that the first rack loads from the kerb-side and the second rack from the opposite side is that the second rack is mounted from its rear - this allows room for the two sets of handlebars.
IMPORTANT. The tongue-weight limitations for the host vehicle and the 2" hitch must be understood. The max unsupported tongue weight rating of the hitch must exceed the total weight of the two racks plus the two motorcycles. In nearly all cases - apart from the lighter loads on two 210ACR racks - this will require a 3/4 ton vehicle or larger with a Class IV hitch.

To check on the right transporter for your bike
- What is the weight of your bike? If buying the 410ACR is there any possibility that you might be buying a second rack at a later date? Go to the Technical Specification page. Check the Weight and Usable Space columns for the right transporter for you. Check that you already have - or can have fitted - the correct class of hitch.
- What is the overall length of your bike? This must fit withinn the chanel length (for this length see Technical Measure this "overall" - from outside of the tires at both ends - make sure that this is less than the usable channel length.
- Go to the Accessories page. See if there are any accessories that you would need for operation. In particular check-out the Silent Hitch Pin - this is highly recommended for tha stability of all racks. If you have an unusually low or high vehicle check out the Height Adjuster.
- Go to the Pricing & Ordering page. Tick required items. Make sure that everything is correct before proceeding.
- Motorcycle carrier, ATV carriers, atv racks, motorcycle lifts, trailers & hitch mounted devices. We have carriers & racks that fit into a 2 inch receiver to haul a motorcycle or ATV, RV motorcycle lifts to haul a big bike on an RV, Motorcycle lift, trailers, cargo carriers, bike racks & more!
